EPW - James Picard, Geneva, minute repeater with chronograph, 54mm, heavy 18K gold OF original case with initials to rear, Jurgensen-style lips, glazed observation gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-pin-set, likely 34J or greater, fausses-cĂ´tes pattern nickel damascene, s#3414. Gross weight of assembled watch 93.4 dwt (145.4 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone, chronograph stops, starts and resets but motion of sweep-seconds-hand occasionally stalls a beat than jumps forward past the skipped beat, overhaul recommended for smooth sweep-seconds-hand motion, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with scattered micro-fine scratches, steelwork with few very small bits of oxide; dial with hl above seconds-register, three additional light hls within center section, small bit of residue on surface tracing junctions of dial segments suggesting possible re-securing of dial segments; nearly mint hands, hands are plum colored with the exception of the subsidiary seconds-hand which is blue; case shows little wear, ding to upper left perimeter of rear, mild dent to left perimeter of rear, engraving detail with mild reduction; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
